SimpleFax for Salesforce

Send and Receive Faxes Directly from Salesforce

SimpleFax seamlessly integrates faxing capabilities into your Salesforce org, allowing you to send and track faxes directly from your records.

Getting Started

  1. Installation
    • Install SimpleFax from the AppExchange
    • A SimpleFax account is required
  2. Configuration
    • Enter your SimpleFax API credentials in Setup
    • Configure your fax number(s)
    • Map fax records to your Salesforce objects

Sending Your First Fax

  1. Navigate to any record (Account, Contact, etc.)
  2. Upload your document as a Salesforce File
  3. Click the "Send Fax" button
  4. Enter the recipient's fax number
  5. Click Send

Tracking Fax Status

Each fax is tracked with the following statuses:

  • Queued: Fax is ready to send
  • Sending: Currently being transmitted
  • Delivered: Successfully received
  • Failed: Transmission failed (with reason)

Setup Tips

  • Assign appropriate permissions to users via Permission Sets
  • Test your configuration with the included Validator
  • Set up automation using Flow Builder
  • Configure alerts for failed faxes

Best Practices

  • Use PDF format for best results
  • Keep files under 20MB
  • Include cover pages for external recipients
  • Set up backup delivery notifications
